Affordable Cars+ — Terms & Conditions

What Affordable Cars+ Is
Affordable Cars+ is a paid membership program that provides eligible members with access to member pricing, priority vehicle access, and purchasing benefits when buying vehicles from Affordable Car Sales.
Affordable Cars+ is not:
- A guarantee of a specific discount
- A finance product
- A promise that every vehicle will be discounted
All benefits are subject to availability and eligibility at the time of purchase.
Membership Fee & Payment
- Membership is charged at $19.90 per month, payable by direct debit using our secure payment plan gateway provider – GoCardless.
- Membership fees are non-refundable, including where a member does not purchase a vehicle.
- Membership must be active and paid up to date at the time of vehicle purchase to access benefits.
Eligibility for Member Pricing
To qualify for member pricing or member benefits:
- The member must have an active membership at the time the vehicle price is agreed and must be a member for a minimum of 30 days before receiving member pricing.
- Member pricing applies only to vehicles priced above $12,990.
- Maximum member discount per vehicle is capped at $1,000, unless otherwise stated in writing
- Member pricing cannot be applied retrospectively to vehicles already purchased or contracts already signed
Minimum Membership Period (Anti-Abuse Protection)
To access member pricing on a vehicle, the member must remain an active member for a minimum of 30 days from the date of purchase.
If a membership is cancelled before the minimum period:
- Any member discount applied to the vehicle becomes immediately repayable, or
- Affordable Cars may withhold equivalent value from trade-in adjustments, refunds, or incentives where lawful
This clause exists to ensure Affordable Cars+ remains fair for genuine members.
Priority Access
Members may receive:
- Early access to selected vehicles before public listing
- Priority processing through finance or sales
Priority access is not guaranteed and depends on:
- Stock availability
- Timing
- Member demand
Finance & Other Services
- Membership does not guarantee finance approval
- Finance terms are subject to lender criteria and independent approval
- Any third-party services are provided on their own terms
Cancellation
- Membership can be cancelled at any time after the minimum membership period
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle
- No refunds are provided for partial months
Membership benefits cease immediately upon cancellation.
Non-Transferable
Affordable Cars+ memberships:
- Are personal to the named member
- Cannot be transferred, assigned, or shared
- Cannot be combined with other memberships unless approved in writing
Fair Use
Affordable Cars reserves the right to:
- Limit or withdraw benefits where misuse, abuse, or manipulation is reasonably suspected
- Decline membership benefits to commercial resellers or buyers acting on behalf of others without disclosure
Changes to the Program
Affordable Cars may:
- Update pricing, benefits, or structure of Affordable Cars+
- Provide reasonable notice of material changes
Continued use of the membership constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Affordable Cars is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- Nothing in these terms limits rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
